Privacy statement
This statement describes what this build of the site actually does, not what a template site might do. There is no analytics on it at all, no advertising, no account system, no lookup and no form submission anywhere.
The short version
Who publishes this site
This site is published by Desymphony and served from noticeclear.nz. For anything about this statement, write to [email protected].
This statement is made under the Privacy Act 2020. It describes what this build of the site actually does — not what a site of this kind might do.
What personal information this site collects
None. There is no account system, no newsletter, no comment form, no contact form and no lookup on this site. It never asks for a name, an email address, a driver licence number, a notice reference, a date of birth or a vehicle plate, and it has no server-side application to receive one if you offered it.
The calculators run entirely in your browser. The figures you type into them are used to compute an answer on your own device and are not transmitted, stored or logged anywhere.
Analytics
There is no analytics on this site. No Google Analytics, no alternative analytics product and no third-party measurement: no analytics script loads, nothing is measured, and nothing about you is transmitted anywhere. Nothing on this site profiles you or builds an audience from you.
What every page does carry is a single inline consent declaration — a few lines that refuse analytics, advertising and personalisation storage outright, so that any measurement added in future would start from a denial rather than from a default. It loads nothing, sets nothing on your device and sends nothing anywhere. You can confirm it by viewing the source of this page: there is no external script address and no measurement id on it.
If that ever changes, this page changes with it — in the same edit, before the change is live, and it will name the product, what it measures and whether it stores anything on your device.
Server logs
Like any web server, the host serving these pages records ordinary request information — an IP address, the page requested, a timestamp and a user-agent string — for the purpose of operating and securing the service. That is a technical necessity of serving a page rather than a measurement of you, it is not linked to anything else, and it is not used to build a profile.
Third parties and outbound links
No third-party script, font, image or stylesheet is loaded on this site. The typefaces are served from this domain, so no font provider learns that you visited.
Some pages link out to official services — NZTA, the Ministry of Justice, the New Zealand legislation website. Those are ordinary links: following one takes you to somebody else’s site, governed by their own privacy statement and not by this one.
Your rights
The Privacy Act 2020 gives you the right to ask an agency for the personal information it holds about you and to ask for it to be corrected. This site holds none, so there is nothing to request and nothing to correct — but if you believe otherwise, write to [email protected] and you will get a straight answer.
If you are not satisfied with how a privacy matter has been handled, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
Changes to this statement
This statement is dated below. It is updated when what the site does changes, not on a schedule — and the description of the analytics position in particular is kept in step with the build rather than written to cover a future one.
